- The Breitling SPRINT 2016 was a special project developed by Brietling to fit runners and athletes who needed an ultra lightweight watch that was water resistant and had good shock absorption. - The case was developed out of a single block fiberglass plastic resin for its light weight - These were available in several colors such as blue, brown and orange for the sporty consumers it targeted. Very few of these actually survived as they were intended for extreme conditions and were often used by professional athletes. - The Valjoux 7730 is the rebranded Venus 188 that came after Venus was absorbed by Valjoux. Venus made chronographs for scores of now forgotten brands, but its biggest customer was Breitling. By the sixties, the chronograph boom had definitely had its day, and Venus closed its doors in 1966. Its assets were absorbed by Valjoux, which discontinued column-wheel production and concentrated on the Venus cam movement instead. A few years later, Valjoux improved on this movement and came out with its 7733 as its own caliber.
