The Vacheron Constantin Phidias Chronograph (Ref. 49001) is a rare, neo-vintage timepiece produced between the late 1980s and 1995. As the direct predecessor to the iconic Overseas collection, it represents Vacheron Constantin's early foray into modern luxury sports watches. The Phidias 49001 was produced in extremely limited quantities:
Solid 18k Yellow Gold: Approximately 400 units produced.
Steel & Yellow Gold: Approximately 630 units produced.
Limited Nature: Due to these low production numbers across multiple dial colors, specific configurations like the champagne dial in a two-tone or solid gold case are considered "ultra-rare" collectibles.
