The Panerai Radiomir Quaranta (PAM01294) is a luxury watch that brings the brand's iconic Italian military design into a smaller, everyday size. For years, Panerai watches were famous for being very large and chunky. This model changes that by using a 40mm steel case that is thin enough to slide under a dress shirt sleeve.

• The Dial: It has a black "sandwich" dial. This means the dial has two layers: a glowing bottom layer and a black top layer with cutouts for the numbers. It features a date window at 3 o'clock and a small seconds hand at 9 o'clock. 

• The Movement: Inside is the P.900 automatic caliber. It winds itself as you move your wrist and holds a 3-day (72-hour) power reserve, so you can take it off for the weekend without it stopping. 

• The Design: It features a polished cushion-shaped case, retro wire lugs, and a cone-shaped crown. It comes paired with a black alligator leather strap. 

• Water Resistance: It is built for daily wear but not deep diving, with a water resistance rating of 30 to 50 meters depending on the production year.
