The Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT (Reference M2542G247NU-0002) is a high-performance military aviation watch. It was developed in collaboration with the French Navy's aviation component (Aéronautique Navale). The watch tracks up to three time zones simultaneously, prioritizing Zulu time (GMT) for naval aviators.
Fixed Lug Construction: The "FXD" design features rigid loops machined directly into the titanium case. This structure eliminates spring bar failures during extreme military flight operations.
Dial Aesthetic: It features a matte black dial paired with beige-painted "Faux-tina" geometric hour markers and signature Snowflake hands. An eye-catching orange lacquer GMT hand tracks the 24-hour scale.
Dual-Color Lume: It utilizes high-contrast Super-LumiNova. The bezel and GMT hand glow green, while the dial markers and local hands glow blue for unambiguous reading at night.
Bezel System: Features a bidirectional titanium bezel with a matte black ceramic insert. Its 48-click mechanism corresponds directly to global time zones.
Military Strap: Supplied on an official flight-suit green fabric strap woven by Julien Faure on 19th-century looms. It features a titanium ring, pin buckle, and the French Naval Aviation roundel emblem.
Case Back: Engraved with the official "M.N." (Marine Nationale) insignia along with the year of production.
