The Rolex Day-Date 36 ref. 18038 in 18k yellow gold with a green diamond dial is a prestigious vintage timepiece, often referred to as a "transitional" reference as it was the first Day-Date to feature a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

• ΚΑΣΑ: 36mm 18k yellow gold with a fluted bezel.

• ΜΠΡΑΣΕΛΕ: Iconic 18k yellow gold President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed Crownclasp.

• Μηχανισμός: Caliber 3055, an automatic winding movement with a "single quickset" feature, allowing the user to adjust the date independently but not the day of the week.

• Water Resistance: Rated up to 100 meters.

• Because the 18038 was produced from the late 1970s through the late 1980s, green dials can vary significantly based on whether they are factory-original or aftermarket:

  • Green Ombré / Vignette: A factory dial featuring a vibrant green center that fades to deep black at the edges. These often feature diamond indices, typically with brilliant-cut diamonds and baguette diamonds at the 6 and 9 o'clock positions.

  • Green Stella: A highly collectible "lacquer" dial with a solid, vibrant green finish. Authentic vintage Stella dials with factory diamonds are rare and command significant premiums.

  • Custom / Aftermarket Dials: Many 18038 models on the market feature custom-painted green dials with added diamonds. While they offer a similar look, they do not hold the same collectible value as original Rolex factory dials.
