The Base Watch (Ref. 116520): Produced between 2000 and 2016, the reference 116520 is legendary for being the first Daytona to feature Rolex's in-house automatic chronograph movement, Caliber 4130, and the last stainless steel Daytona featuring a full steel tachymeter bezel.
The Dial Customization: From the factory, Rolex only offered the stainless steel 116520 with a standard glossy black or white dial. Genuine Rolex factory meteorite dials are sourced from the Gibeon meteorite and were traditionally reserved for precious metal models (such as white, yellow, or rose gold variants). Therefore, a "Black Meteorite Dial with Diamond markers" fitted on a stainless steel 116520 is almost always a custom aftermarket modification or a custom build where a genuine or custom dial was transferred into a steel case.
