The Longines Heritage Military 1938 Limited Edition (Reference: L2.826.4.53.2) is a reissue of a historic interwar military timepiece. While the original 1938 model was unusually large for its era, this modern interpretation maintains that substantial presence with a 43mm case.
Μηχανισμός: Hand-wound Calibre L507.2 (based on the ETA 6498-2). This movement is essentially a rugged pocket watch calibre, known for its reliability and 53-hour power reserve.
ΚΑΣΑ: 43mm stainless steel with a mix of polished and brushed surfaces. It features a distinctive ribbed "sea urchin" crown and a beveled bezel.
Dial & Hands: A matte black dial with cream-colored Super-LumiNova Arabic numerals designed to mimic vintage radium patina. It includes a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock and rhodium-plated "baton" hands.
Crystal: Domed sapphire with multi-layered anti-reflective coating on the underside.
Water Resistance: 30 meters (3 bar), making it splash-resistant but not suitable for swimming.
Straps: The watch comes as a set with two 20mm straps: a patinated charcoal grey leather strap and a cognac-colored NATO leather strap, along with an interchangeability tool.
