The IWC Pilot Vintage 1936 (Ref. IW325401) is a tribute piece released as part of the IWC Vintage Collection in 2008 to celebrate the brand's 140th anniversary. It is a modern recreation of IWC's first "Special Pilot's Watch" (Ref. 436) from 1936.
ΚΑΣΑ: 44mm stainless steel with a thickness of roughly 12mm.
Μηχανισμός: Hand-wound IWC Calibre 98300, an in-house pocket-watch-style movement beating at 18,000 vph with a 46-hour power reserve.
Καντράν: Matte black featuring highly luminescent Arabic numerals and a "railway" minute track.
Bezel: Bidirectional rotating "coin-edge" bezel that controls an internal luminescent arrow marker used for tracking elapsed time (e.g., takeoff times).
Glass: Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the front and a transparent exhibition case back to view the decorated movement.
Strap: Typically paired with a brown calfskin leather strap and a steel tang buckle.
