The Rolex Yacht-Master 40 (Reference 16622) is a highly distinctive "neo-vintage" luxury sports watch. Introduced in 1999 and discontinued in 2016, it holds a legendary status as the model that debuted Rolesium—Rolex’s proprietary term for combining a rugged Oystersteel case and bracelet with precious 950 platinum components.
Case Size: 40mm diameter, with a thickness of 11.88mm. Its elegant, curved case flanks make it sit flatter and look dressier on the wrist than a standard Submariner.
Bezel: Bidirectional rotating 60-minute yachting bezel made entirely of 950 platinum. It features a sandblasted/media-blasted matte base with raised, mirror-polished numerals and indices.
Καντράν: Made from a solid 950 platinum disc, giving it a shimmering, grainy, metallic gray-silver appearance. It features white gold hour markers (Maxi dial style) and a vibrant pop of red on the sweeping seconds hand and the "Yacht-Master" text.
Μηχανισμός: Powered by the workhorse Rolex Caliber 3135 automatic movement. It features a 48-hour power reserve, quickset date, and COSC chronometer certification.
ΜΠΡΑΣΕΛΕ: Stainless steel Oyster bracelet with solid end links and solid center links. Earlier production models feature the vintage-style stamped Oysterlock clasp.
