The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph (Ref. 49140) is the first-generation chronograph in the Overseas collection, introduced in 1999. It is highly regarded by collectors for its compact 40mm proportions and its distinct "Big Date" complication.
Case: 40mm stainless steel with a thickness of approximately 12.4mm to 12.5mm. It features the signature Maltese cross-inspired bezel and a solid case back often engraved with the Amerigo Vespucci ship.
Movement: Powered by the Caliber 1137, an automatic movement based on the Frédéric Piguet 1185. It operates at 21,600 vph (3Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.
Dial: The silver dial features a "Big Date" aperture at 12 o'clock and three sub-dials: a 30-minute counter (3 o'clock), small seconds (6 o'clock), and a 12-hour recorder (9 o'clock).
Water Resistance: Rated at 150 meters (15 ATM), making it a robust sports watch.
Bracelet: Fully integrated stainless steel bracelet with a combination of brushed and polished finishes.
